These aviaries will also be able to be opened up to make one large aviary for larger birds or for use when testing a birds flight before release.

Below is a wish list of items needed to build these aviaries. If anyone would like to donate any of these items or make a donation towards the cost we would greatly appreciate it.

Please do not think that having little or no knowledge of owls and birds of prey prevents you from volunteering or becoming a committee member. There are a number of areas that require other skills. There are a whole host of “housekeeping” jobs that have to be done. For example are you a book-keeper who could take on the very important role of Treasurer, or an IT wiz with the ability to maintain our web site? How about someone who could manage the supporters database and mail-outs? By helping us with things that do not require specific bird knowledge you would free up a little bit more time for those of us who have the skills to concentrate more effort into the “real” work of the Trust in the areas of rehabilitation, conservation and education.

If you would like to become more involved with the Raptor Trust and have a little time to spare, bird knowledge or not, do please get in touch. We’ll give you a warm welcome and if you might gain some skills and expertise along the way!
